Our thoughts on the Huawei P40

The Huawei P40 is an affordable and durable device for users. Although this model is smaller and has a lower specification compared to the Huawei P40 Pro, it still has the same power. Unfortunately, Google Mobile Services are no longer used on this device, so it makes downloading apps more difficult. Although there are downsides, the Huawei P40 does have some good features that need to be talked about.

The 6.1-inch screen display is better clarity than the iPhone 11. It’s shorter than the Samsung Galaxy S20, which means it fits nicely into your hand. Both the power button and volume buttons are placed on the right-hand side, and the USB-C port sits at the bottom of the device. It includes a dual nanoSIM tray and its main storage can be increased with Nano memory cards.

The processor chip is one of the highest performing and is integrated with 5G. This means it is compatible with 5G networks for the future.

Why should I purchase the Huawei P40?

The Huawei P40 has one of the best performing cameras in the phone market. The cameras consist of a primary camera, an ultra-wide camera and a telephoto camera, which has an excellent optical zoom. It allows you to capture seamless photos, even in low-light conditions. With this model, Huawei is debuting its XD Fusion Engine, which uses AI to help optimise images. Easily remove people from backgrounds and reflections if necessary and capture videos in 4K using the front and rear cameras.

Running on Android 10, the Huawei P40 is very powerful. There is no noticeable lagging when switching between apps. Users can easily download apps from Huawei’s own AppGallery, although there is a limited selection. This has to be used as Google Mobile Services is no longer available on Huawei models.

This model has a pre-fitted screen protector, with curved metal around the sides, top and bottom of the device. Huawei has created a phone model that feels premium and includes OLED screen technology.

Conclusion

The Huawei P40 is a perfect device for users that are after a simple phone. If you don’t use many apps and just want a handy phone, this is the model for you. It comes with an excellent camera and the battery life will easily get you through the day. If you’re just looking to make phone calls and message, then look no further than the Huawei P40.
