Samsung Galaxy S8 - What to Expect
- 18 Jan, 2017
According to sources, the new Samsung Galaxy S8 may not be officially announced until April 15th now, but here is a roundup of the rumours surrounding the new smartphone and what we could expect to see from the new device.
No headphone jackFollowing in Apple’s footsteps, Samsung appear to have confirmed that they will also be saying goodbye to the 3.5mm jack and instead go with the USB Type-C port instead
Pressure sensitive display technologyIt has been claimed that the new phone will have a fingerprint scanner under the screen instead of on top, which will work using a pressure-sensitive display technology. This will mean that the phone will be able to differentiate between a light touch and a full press which should mean access to more functions just from pushing harder.
A Foldable screenSamsung recently filed for a patent for a foldable screen, so if this is anything to go by we could expect to see something pretty cool from them this year!
Improved Camera and 4k DisplayAs with most new models the company will make improvements to the camera and display for a more enjoyable and immersive user experience.
