The dust has now settled on Ascot’s racetrack following a week of festivities, frivolity and (most importantly) fashion. The Royal Ascot Racing Carnival is always an opportunity to push the boundaries of fashion with outrageously large headwear or quirky accessories.
Here at Case Hut we love following the fashionistas as they showcase the most up-to-date trends. In fact, we love to bring you many of those trends to our own phone accessories. With an array of designer cases now on the site, let’s take a look at the inspiration behind them.
With new Creative Directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim at the helm, Kenzo has taken on a fresher expression of late. Their Spring/Summer 2013 collection was full to the brim with vibrant leopard prints, like they’d just come back from holiday on safari and had seen the whole trip from behind a kaleidoscope. These abstracted, arty, animal prints were extended to accessories and shoes and now available for our phone covers. You’ll definitely be seen as pretty funky if you sport one of these around town.
Despite closing his fashion house in 2009, Lacroix, has since been able to indulge his passion for ornament, illustration and history. His illustrative works have resulted in a publication called ‘Christian Lacroix and the Tale of Sleeping Beauty: A Fashion Fairy Tale Memoir’ which features his signature vintage, collage style with contemporary touches. His style has also resulted in a successful range of stationery. His whimsical use of Victorian imagery is very feminine and fantasy–like. This link can be seen in our range of cases that feature his butterfly collage, embossed baroque pattern and fern prints. Feel lavish with one of these on your phone.
Jean Paul Gaultier
After a hugely successful retrospective exhibition at London’s Barbican museum last year, Jean Paul Gaultier has had renewed interest from broader fashion audiences. However, he recently announced that he would no longer be producing a ready-to-wear collection and instead focus his attentions on his iconic heartland; his couture shows. Gaultier’s signature look is that of the French, sailor, Breton stripe which he wore for years when starting his label and it has remained his iconic marque of distinction ever since. It even features on his male fragrance bottle. So you can’t get more Gauliter than with our cases that feature the very stripes that are now integral to his brand. Get ready to set sail to the French Riviera with one of these on your phone.
